Data Protection

Responsibility and contact: Responsibility for the processing of personal data lies with: Standortförderung, Amt für Wirtschaft, Canton of Zurich, standort@vd.zh.ch.

Legal basis: We are subject to Swiss data protection law. The European Commission recognises that Swiss data protection law ensures an adequate level of data protection. This privacy policy may be amended and supplemented at any time; we will inform users in an appropriate manner, in particular by publishing the current version of the privacy policy on our website.

Processing: We process personal data in connection with our activities and operations, including under www.stiftungschweiz.ch. Processing includes any handling of personal data, regardless of the methods used, such as modifying, archiving, storing, collecting, organising, saving, deleting or using personal data.

Principle: We process personal data in particular in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR in order to safeguard our legitimate interests or those of third parties, to fulfil legal obligations, to carry out assignments with the consent of the data subjects, or to be able to communicate with third parties. Such processing takes place provided that the fundamental freedoms, fundamental rights and interests of the data subjects do not prevail. Legitimate interests include in particular our interest in carrying out our activities and operations in a sustainable, user-friendly, secure and reliable manner and in communicating about them, ensuring information security, protecting against misuse, enforcing our own legal claims and complying with Swiss law.

Scope: We process personal data that is necessary to carry out our activities and operations in a sustainable, user-friendly, secure and reliable manner. Such personal data may include contact data, browser and device data, content data, metadata or usage data and location data.

Duration: We process personal data for the duration required for the respective purpose or purposes and for the fulfilment of mandates or as required by law. Personal data that is no longer required will be deleted.

Processing by third parties: We may have personal data processed by third parties or process it jointly with third parties and transmit it to third parties for this purpose. These third parties are in particular specialised service providers whose services we make use of. We also ensure data protection in these cases.

Data security: We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of data security, confidentiality, traceability and integrity appropriate to the respective risk. Access to our website is secured by transport encryption (SSL / TLS, HTTPS).

Data location: As a rule, we process personal data in Switzerland. However, we may also export or transfer personal data to other countries, in particular in order to process it or have it processed there. We may export personal data to all countries provided that, according to the assessment of the Swiss authorities, the law of the respective country ensures an adequate level of data protection.

Rights: We grant data subjects all rights in accordance with the applicable data protection law, in particular the right of access, the right to rectification and restriction, deletion and objection, as well as data disclosure and data portability, provided that no statutory retention obligations apply.

Cookies and logging: We may use cookies, either our own or those of third parties. Cookies can be partially or completely disabled and deleted at any time via the browser settings. Accesses to our website may be logged in log files including date and time (including time zone), IP address, access status (HTTP status code), operating system including user interface and version, browser including language and version, the page accessed on our website and the referrer.

Consent: Users must generally expressly consent to any use of their email address and other contact details, unless such use is permitted on other legal grounds. Users may object at any time to receiving notifications and communications such as newsletters or invitations by sending a brief reply.
